Oh, the holidays are over. We enjoyed them to the fullest, but it is nice to get back into some semblance of a routine again.

Christmas was full of wonder for the girls. We savored their joy. Selena decorated their room with glittery paper snowflakes, a jolly snowman, and Bible pictures related to Jesus' birth. I set up a little Christmas tree in their room on top of Shana's bookshelf, and let Selena decorate that as well. Selena especially enjoyed learning "While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night," and talking about the angels singing, "Glory to God in the Highest!"

I am so pleased that everyone stayed healthy so that we were able to enjoy our families to the fullest. New Years weekend was a very quiet affair for us, and we just enjoyed each other. We experimented with cooking, stayed in pajamas, read, played games, and watched movies. Oh - and took long naps. Delicious!

Ah... your New Years weekend sounds delightful!

And so, so true: everyone healthy makes such a *huge* difference. We were blessed with health this Christmas, too~ and I had the same thought. :)

I've said this to you before, Bev, but it bears repeating. Your love for motherhood and making your home a haven for your family shine forth brightly from every word you write. You are so enjoying every minute of making memories with your girls and your hubby!! And that's why I find your blog SO inspiring.

Blessings to you and yours.

Love,
Patti

You'll never regret all the memories you're making for the girls, and for all of you. Nothing is more important and these days are so precious. Someday you'll wish you could have them back--even the hard ones!
