Oh what joy this season does impart!

I'm back just to say hello. We are doing well here! God remains faithful and I have just been so thankful for His blessings. After the death of our friend and brother in Christ, I have just been delighting in the closeness of my husband and daughter. The memorial service we attended for him was so glorifying to God. Just the privilege of sitting at the table with my family has gladdened me lately, because they are here.

We celebrated my daddy's birthday, and had a wonderful two weeks of surprises for him. Close friends sent him sweet cards the whole week of his birthday. Family members wrote him notes about what he has meant to them over the years, and we all went out to eat together. The church family generously gifted him a vacation trip to Lancaster -- with my mom of course! They will be going in September for a few days, and we will have the pleasure of my sister staying with us, as well as my brother Frodo. Yes, he is a dog!

I think this arrangement will be fine with Lena!!

This Momma is busy, but happy. I don't usually like summer so much, but this one has been so enjoyable. Sometimes I still wish I could get more accomplished during the day, but I am quickly realizing that I need to cherish each moment. They are flying by!

I'm back, but may not be posting as frequently for a couple of weeks, as VBS looms large. Also, our church has a table at the local farm fair so we'll be doing that as well. I think about you all the time, my blogging friends. I hope you are all well.

Fun pictures! I'm glad that your busy-ness is busy-ness about the things of God! It's a good kind of tired, isn't it?

Summer is always very, very busy at my church, too. Winter will be here before we know it, so work we will!

You are so precious - thank you for all the pictures!

Happy birthday, dear one! You are so busy right now, I don't know if you'll be able to celebrate properly, but I hope that you feel the blessing of another year well lived.

You are such a blessing to so many - and I know especially to your parents. Bev, the fruit of your life is something to behold - and I see God only providing more.

This particular portion of Proverbs 31 reminds me of you -

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

I am sure, like all of us, you read this and see gaps in your life. But I know the Lord sees a precious child who follows after Him with all her heart. He could ask no more.

Have a wonderful celebration - and I've sent a prayer winging heavenward for you in this busy season - I pray you are able to enjoy it all - especially your family!
