A little Update on Us

Photobucket

I just wanted to stop in and give everyone a little update on our family. We are starting to get ready for the new member of our family.

For those of you who don't know me personally, I am a bit of a whirlwind at times! I give myself lists of self-imposed obligations and run around like a chicken with her head chopped off trying to fulfill them. Just this past weekend, I realized (ok - my husband helped me to realize) that we simply weren't going to get all of these things finished in the 4-6 weeks we have left.

We prioritized my lists, and I prayed a few times. I feel so much better now! I have calmed down, and I'm sleeping at night again.

Lena is busy helping Mommy fold little onesies and gowns and putting flowers on the wall of her room. We went and got wooden letters which I am painting, so both girls can have their names on the wall. She is also busy being a Lil' Kicker on her new soccer team.

Pardon the darkness of the video - all of the basement lights weren't on!

Daddy is studying, working, calming Mommy down, taking Lena to soccer, carrying baskets of laundry up and down the stairs and putting up shelves in the garage.

And - fall is almost here! I was so excited to put mums on our front step, take out my leaf decorations, and start stocking up on yummy delicious scented candles.

When we get a taste of a cool breeze, I feel so excited and happy inside. I know it is rather silly, but I just love this time of the year. It reminds me of such happy things: my engagement, wedding, and Selena's birth.

How are all of you? Sending love from my house to yours.

I can't wait to see pictures of your new little one! Is Lena excited?
And I am stocking up on scented candles too! I think we would make good friends if only we lived closer....
Enjoy your cool fall weather! :)

Ah wow what a sweet video! I love fall too (or Autumn for us!), but Nick doesn't at all - he just loves the sun and gets a bit sad when the nights start drawing in and summer is ending. He would love to emigrate somewhere sunny!

I too am a totally unrealistic list lady, who just wants everything to be "perfect", and "ready" for...

I will be praying for you to be filled with peace.

It sounds like you are having some lovely times.

And I am so excited for the day when we will see the first pictures of your little one!

What a cute little update. I can't believe that it is almost time for the #2 princess to arrive. We are all excited. Rest up and don't worry. Everything will be in good enough order in your house when she arrives. :-)

How adorable your Lil Kicker is! I especially like the way she dismounts the treadmill - lol. Nothing like having Daddy there to catch! ;o)

Oh, ((Beverly)), it is such an exciting time when the days are winding down to greet your little one tucked against your heart. Enjoy these precious days.

I love fall too!! Like you it reminds me of my girls' births and my engagement...and I've often told my mom if I could choose over again, I would have had a fall wedding! :) I love the crisp air, pumpkins, fall colors, cozy campfires, etc. Wish I was there to help you finish your list!

Selena, is growing so fast. She is going to be a great big sis.

Hope this time is full of joy and peace. God be with you as you bring you new little one into the world.

We got our new Great Grandbaby the day IKE came to town. Mother and baby had to be flown to another city for safe keeping. Alisa Grace is now home and weighing 4 pounds and 12 ounces. She weighed 4 lbs. and 7 ozs. when she was born. God has been so good to us and He gave us a miracle.

I will be praying for you and your family these next weeks. love you, connie

I feel the same excitement, Bev! We're silly together! :) This time of year is exquisite...

I'm thinking of you often these days, as we ripen with each other- and the pumpkins! :) How is your sciatica?

Love to you!
