He is With You

There have been a lot of tears in our household this month ...
Tears of joy as our friends experience the wonderful blessings of God. Tears of grief as we hurt for other friends that are weighed down by some hard providences. Tears of hope as we realize how God uses these experiences to mold us and fashion us.
In the joyous times, He is there. He has blessed you with His tender mercies.
Through the pain, He is there. He is working out His perfect will, no matter how hard it is to understand.
Throughout these seasons of life, He shows us His plan whether for joy or sorrow. He tells us in His word that He will be with us through it all.
He hears your shouts of joy, your groans of pain.

"God moves in a mysterious way,
His wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never-failing skill,
He treasures up his bright designs,
And works his sov'reign will.

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take,
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust him for his grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fasts,
Unfolding ev'ry hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flow'r.

Blind unbelief is sure to err,
And scan his work in vain;
God is his own interpreter,
And he will make it plain. "
-William Cowper-

WoW. That's a very deep poem. This week I've been seeing many postings on hurting hearts and God's promise to hold us through those storms. I wonder if He's preparing me for something?

What are the chances of me finding you while you're away this week. I look forward in getting to know you more. I hope.

Yes, many tears indeed. Our God does move in mysterious ways, but how thankful we are that we can trust Him, for He is good and He abounds in lovingkindness.

Amen. As I just said to another blogger friend--this season will go; another will come. Christ will be with us in each.

Thanks for posting this - it's so very true. I am currently re-reading the book "Disappointment with God" by Philip Yancey which deals with right that...

I love this stanza. What a fearful saint I can be! How encouraging to envision FRESH courage and mercy raining upon me.

I know one thing beyond doubt God is always God and He is always there. He never closes one door that another is not opened. We just have to open our eyes and SEE. Thank you, Beverly, connie from Texas

if we knew the workings of God it would be so over powerful that we could not handle it...
but if we continue to take one day at a time and leave the tomorrows up to Him we will understand in due time.
God grant me the courage to do this.

Amen.
I was just thinking along these lines yesterday, praising God for His faithfulness in the midst of all of the hurts and questions and trials. That verse in 2 Timothy: "He will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself." He IS faithful. And that's a wonderful place to rest.
