I've just realized that my baby is no longer a baby. I'm not sure how to feel about that! There are so many delightful things going on in her life right now that I hardly have time to miss the things we've left behind. But I remember those days as I finish up her scrapbook. Her first year of life -- it is going by so quickly. Can she really be 11 months old?
yes - that is a bandage on her arm - she had to get a routine blood test

Talking
She's a jabber box! She says so many words, and her vocabulary is multiplying weekly. She's following in my footsteps -- I was a "jabberer" too! Last week, I almost jumped with joy when she opened her board book and pointed to the cow and said "moo!" -- and then to the goat and said "baa!" (ok - cut her some slack! the goat really -REALLY looked like a sheep)
Walking
Last Wednesday, she took her first step. She's up to three now, and she's practicing daily. How did we get this far? Last year this time, she was still inside of me ...
Clapping
At VBS last week, Lena learned to clap! Nanna and Aunt Jean had nursery, and watched her every day so that Momma could teach. Lena even got to participate in Backwards Day and Hat Day!

God is so good to us, and I must remember to be thankful every day. There are so many unspeakable griefs happening every day to people just like me. Late at night, on my way home from VBS, I drove past a car which was fully on its side. Such a feeling gripped me when I thought of the fact that I may have driven past someone's last moment. We never know when that moment may be.
The little things I am thankful for and often forget to be thankful for, overwhelm me at times when I witness the grief and loss of others. Thank you Lord, for another week -- full of love and happy times.

Sniff sniff... our little Lena is growing up! I can't wait to see her walking! And the clapping on Friday night was so adorable :-)
You are so right-- God IS good to us, and I am trying to thank Him for those blessings one day at a time and not worry about the future.
Wow, a new post and so many new photos to enjoy :-)
That was a nice surprise for me this evening!
Kids grow up so fast! I just realised it with my goddaughter... But I love watching that special miracle of God!
Have a blessed week,
Helen
Yes, thank you Lord, for all of these happenings that we see in the life of our little one. God's been gracious to brighten our lives through her.
She is getting so big! And I don't have to tell you to enjoy every moment.. :)
I read this earlier today, but didn't have time to comment until now. Eliana saw the pics this morning, and she stopped and said, "Awww!" So cute. We both enjoyed the pics, of course.
She is definitely growing up - it really hit me when you said that this time last year, she was still inside! Squeeze her for me!
Your little girl looks so sweet! She's a cutie. =)
Love the smiles. A definite proof of God's Joy oozing forth.
Many blessings to your home.
wow ... what a gorgeous smile on your girl!! Time does fly - doesn't it? Oh, and I have to say --- I'm SO impressed that you're keeping up with your scrapbook!! My scrapping progess is pretty sporadic. Poor Zach only has about 20 pages done in his book and we just celebrated his SECOND birthday! You're a Super-Mom. :)
